Blue Earth county is a county in South Central Minnesota. It was named for the Blue Earth River.
The largest city and county seat are Mankato, which is a very historic and well known city.
Blue Earth county is bordered by Nicollet, Le Sueur, Waseca, Faribault, Martin, Watonwan and Brown Counties.
Main Highways through the county include US-14, US-169, MN-60 and MN-68.
